This was a feisty game which saw both teams finish with ten men after each had a man sent
off. Brantwood scored twice through Ryan McClean and Ross Cowan against one by the
RATHCOOLE FC 2 BRANTWOOD RES 4
Brantwood took an early lead after PEter Griffins scored on the 10th minute then added a
second when Bryan Rainey scored on the 14th minute. Rathcoole got back into the game after
Brian Black scored on the 35th minute to trail by a goal at half-time. Brantwood went two
goals ahead after Ross Cowen scored on the 51st minute then Brian Black scored his second
goal for Rathcoole on the 65th minute. Rathcoole then chased the equaliser but Brantwood
scored the decisive fourth goal through Stafford Ward on the 75th minute.

Brantwood never really got into this game and went on to concede four goals without

Brantwood were a little bit unlucky not to take teh game to penalties instead of losing in
extra-time. The teams were level at the end of ninety minute then Ballyclare got the winner
in the extra-time.
BRANTWOOD RES 0 COOKSTOWN RBL 2
RBL are setting the pace at the top of the league table but were made to fight for the win by a
resolute Brantwood team who held them to a scoreless first-half. Things changed at the start
of the second half after Benny Gray scored on the 48th minute. Brantwood had to chase the
game after this then on the 61st minute Gareth Ramsey scored the all important second goal
for RBL who went on to defend their advantage and collect full points at the end.

Ryan O’Neil scored a hat-trick during the first-half for Whiteabbey who unfortunately five
goals scored by Gareth McAuley (2), Steven Hylands (2) and PEter Griffith that won the points
ANTRIM ROVERS 1 BRANTWOOD RES 2
This was a very close game with the result being decided by the odd goal in three. Brantwood
went in front after Steven Hylands scored on the 39th minute and held this lead until Thomas
Bownes scored the equaliser on the 64th minute. After this both teams went for the winner
which went to Brantwood after Lee Rossi scored on the 76th minute.
SHORE ROAD YM 2 BRANTWOOD RES 8
Brantwood took the lead after Mark Tweedie scored on the 17th minute then two more goals
scored by Ross Cowan and Brian Wilson on the 32nd and 39th minute saw Brantwood three
goals clear. Shore Road pulled a goal back after Alvin Carson scored on the 40th minute then
Gareth McAuley replied scoring number four for Brantwood on the 45th minute. Brantwood
then extended their lead with goals scored by Mark Tweedie 49th, Gareth McAuley 54th and
Steve Hylands 75th minutes before Jake Sloan scored for Shore Road on the 82nd minute. With
time running out Steve Hylands completed the scoring on the 88th minute.

Brantwood got off to a quick start with Steven Bainbridge scoring on the 9th minute but
surprisingly this was the only goal scored during the first-half. The second half saw a few
chances created then on the 75th minute Stafford Ward scored for Brantwood that sealed

Brantwood had the better of the goal scoring chances during the first-half and went in
leading through goals scored by Ross Cowan and Ryan Hill at the break. Brantwood increase
their lead on the 50th minute when Alex Crawford scored then an own goal saw theM four in
front. Gareth McAuley converted a penalty on the 60th minute putting Brantwood five nil up
but RBL came back to score twice with goals scored by Danny Dowd and Jonny Ferguson.
COOKSTOWN YOUTH 4 BRANTWOOD RES 1
This game was personal triumph for Mark McMenemy who scored all four goals for the Youth.
The Youth took an early lead on the 6th minute when Mark McMenemy scored his first goal but
had to wait until the 42nd minute for their second goal. Mark McMenemy completed his hat-
trick on the 53rd minute and this scoreline remained until Sam Morgan pulled goal back for
Brantwood on the 84th minute. The game was then in the 86th minute when Mark McMenemy
scored his fourth goal.
COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC 2 BRANTWOOD RES 0
The Olympic have hit a good vein of form of late and hopefully will take this into the final of
the Mid-Ulster Shield on Easter Tuesday Morning. The Olympic went in front after James
McGahan scored on the 6th minute and at half time this goal still separated the teams. James
McGahan scored his second goal on the 61st minute which sealed the win for the Olympic.
